FC 25 Player Career Tips for Nintendo Switch

Hello, In today’s article, I will be going over some things I’ve learned and a few mistakes that I have made while playing FC 25 Player Career Mode so you don’t have to. Now let’s get right into it!

Plan Ahead on Your Personality

When I first started playing, I mainly just kinda picked whatever objective, response, or training session. After a while, I really came to regret it in order to get the best personality traits and to get an Icon Personality. So if you are scoring goals all the time and wanting to dribble and skill, I would recommend going for the Maverick options. Virtuoso prioritizes playmaking and being able to dictate how the game flows, so if you're more into getting assists and leading the team, I would recommend going for the Virtuoso options. Heartbeat is more team-oriented in that it’s more about defending and helping the team as a whole, so if you’re looking to do that the most, you should probably go for the Heartbeat options.

Use the Minus (-) Button to Switch from Watching the Ball to Focusing on Your Player

When you're losing points for being out of position, this is really important. When I played as a defender in career mode at first, I would lose so many points for being out of position and not knowing where I was when the ball was in the attack. So knowing to press the Minus (-) button is really important, especially if you do career mode as a defender.

Important Mechanics

Power shot: Doing this, especially outside of the box, is really important because you can get power, but it also comes with a lot of height usually, so doing the power shot, which is L + R + A, is very useful. Through ball: This can get you a large number of assists and chances and is extremely useful to get 1 on 1s for your teammates easily, and when they’re showing that they’re making a run, it’s very dangerous to the opposing players. To do a through ball, basically aim like it’s a normal pass but press X. Sprinting, which is ZR, is one of the most important mechanics. It is so useful when you are either tracking back or you just got past someone and are through on goal. It just helps a lot to be able to be faster than other people.

Whatever Country You Want to Set Your Player As, It Is Most Likely There

I really wanted to set my player as from the USA, and I looked and it wasn’t there, so I was kinda disappointed. But later it turned out if you really try, you can, in fact, get like any country. So just go through everything and double-check.

Figure Out What Position You Are Best At in FC

When I did my first Player Career, I did it as a defender (full-back specifically) because that’s what I do in real life, and not gonna lie, I was not the best in-game at it. But I did really well in attacking, so I went with that. So I would say just do what you’re best at in-game, and you can still make another career. But don’t be held back by your real-life position or favorite player’s position. You can still make as many as you want, though, so if it’s your main one, just do what you’re best at doing.
